Rodger Lee Paisley

Rodger Lee Paisley, 76, of Fries, Virginia, passed away on March 6, 2026, at his home. Born on April 20, 1949, in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, to Samuel and Minnie Bumgardner Paisley, he was the youngest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna Blevins Paisley, his brothers Ronnie, Sam “Buck,” and Doug Paisley, and his sisters Ginnie Green Martin, Shirley McGrady, and Linda Davis.

Rodger served his country as a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. Known for his warm and outgoing nature, he never met a stranger and was loved by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Paisley Bright of Independence, Virginia; his god-daughter, Kaleigh Robinson of Fries, Virginia; his stepdaughter, Tabitha Gravley of Fries, Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
