Rocky-John Rodriguez Lim

Rocky-John Rodriguez Lim, known to all as Roc, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Born on February 24, 1982, in Dearborn, Michigan, Roc brought a vibrant, larger-than-life presence to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He worked as a dedicated mover for Palmer Moving and Storage, where he took genuine pride in being part of the Palmer family and approached every task with commitment and care. A graduate of Warren Fitzgerald High School, class of 2000, Roc excelled on the football and baseball teams. He was remembered for his infectious smile and the warm friendships he formed with a wide circle of friends.

Roc held a deep passion for sports, finding joy in both playing and watching games, and sharing that enthusiasm with those around him. He cherished his dogs, Vienna and Nike, and loved spending time outdoors with them. Above all, family was the center of his world. He was a devoted partner to his fiancé, Tanya Hotchkiss, with whom he created many cherished memories during visits to her out-of-state family. He was a loving father to his sons, Brocktin and Brodie, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his daughter, Sophia Grace Lim.

He is survived by his brother, Rodney (Aimee) Lim, and his sister, Emma Rodriguez. Roc was preceded in death by his parents, Remedios and Hernani Lim.
