Rocky Lynn Murry

Rocky Lynn Murry was born on June 25, 1957, in DeRidder, Louisiana, and passed away on March 4, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. He lived a life marked by deep affection and steady care for those closest to him, leaving behind a family that will always feel his absence.

Rocky cherished time spent with family and friends, whether playing cards and dominoes, bowling, or fishing. He was an avid sports fan who especially loved watching college and professional football, cheering for his LSU Tigers on Saturdays and the New Orleans Saints on Sundays.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Lynn Murry, his mother, Nettie Lou Voisin, his step-father, Louis “Sonny” Voisin, his sister, Cindy Rose Pritchett, and his nephew, Ryan Boudreaux.

Rocky is survived by his wife of 16 years, Cheryl Elaine Murry; his daughter, Alicia Marie Murry Beck, and her husband, Leonard Beck; his step-son, Keith Borchardt, and his wife, Meghan Borchardt; his step-daughter, Deborah Ponton; his sisters, Connie Jo Boudreaux and Paula Janelle Murry; his brother, Larry Olen Murry; and his nieces, Marae Boudreaux and Laurie Pritchett. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren—Tyler, Jordan, Blaine, Audry, Zach, Abby, Jackson, and Samantha—and three step-great-grandchildren.
