Preserve forever →Robyn Luetta Starevich Lopez
July 7, 1945— March 11, 2026
Salt Lake City, UT
Born to Robert and Luetta Starevich July 7, 1945. She ran into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2026.
Mom found joy in so many things throughout her life. She loved to write stories, play the piano, dance, hike, camp, ice skate, knit, crochet, sew, and water ski — but of all her many activities, snow skiing was her favorite.
She absolutely loved music. If you asked her a question, she might answer in song. If you were sleeping, she’d wake you by singing. Feeling happy or a little sad, there was always a song. Many times she would burst into song in public. Inevitably a few people, and sometimes everyone around her, would start singing along. She brought people together with fun and a song, even if only for a few minutes.
She was quick to laugh and full of kindness, but she was never timid. If something needed to be said, she would say it directly.
She loved to read, and though her list of books was long and varied, her favorite was the Bible. She studied it faithfully and shared what she learned with others.
Mom was a dear friend to many and was especially grateful for a cherished group of friends she met in her youth who remained by her side throughout her life.
She had a tender heart for animals and volunteered with Best Friends Animal Society, helping build shelters for abandoned cats. She truly adored both her own indoor and outdoor cats.
She is survived by her children: Kristy, David, Robert, and Jenny; her brother, Steve Packard; her grandchildren: Tayler, Danielle, Marissa, Karlie, Jordan, Graham, and Harrison; and her great-grandchildren: Emerson, Hendrix, and Rumi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lopez; her father, Robert Starevich; her mother, Luetta Spence; and her brother, Stan Packard.
An open house will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Church, 1148 West 500 North, Salt Lake City, Utah, for friends and family who would like to gather and share memories.
Our family extends heartfelt thanks to Bristol Hospice for the excellent care and comfort they provided.
Mom, every melody lingers. Your songs live on in our hearts and memories.
