March 25, 1957— March 8, 2026
Mapleton, UT
Robin Leon Davies, born March 25, 1957, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 68. He was the son of Donald Leon Davies and Nada Oliphant Davies, and grew up on a five-acre family farm in Mapleton as one of eleven siblings: Donald, Kenneth, Robin, Fred, Karen, Janet, Elaine, Clyde, Niel, Eldon, and George. He attended school in Mapleton and Springville, a special school in Provo, and Seminary in Spanish Fork.
Robin learned the value of hard work early, caring for animals, tending the garden, grinding wheat for morning mush, and faithfully retrieving food storage from the basement at his mother’s request. He became her steadfast right-hand helper. He found joy in simple pleasures—listening to the radio, keeping perfect track of time with his beloved clocks, and sharing his voice with the family. His renditions of “Silent Night” at Christmas gatherings and his favorite Primary songs were cherished traditions, as were evenings spent watching children’s programs and Little House on the Prairie.
He served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was baptized, and held the office of elder. He loved attending church and remained devoted throughout his life.
Robin is survived by his brothers and sisters—Donald and Dawn Davies, Kenneth Davies, Fred and Winona Davies, Karen and Donald Speth, Janet and Mark Spencer, Elaine and Craig Carpenter, Clyde Davies, Niel Davies, George and Enid Davies—and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother Eldon, and nephews Chris, Hyrum, and Elgin.
