Robin L. Enger

December 12, 1953 March 2, 2026

Morris, IL

Robin L. Enger, age 72, of Morris, Illinois, passed away on March 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

Born on December 12, 1953, in Morris, Illinois, to Charles and Doris (Knudsen) Enger, Robin was raised and educated in his beloved hometown. He graduated from Morris High School with the class of 1971 and began a 37-year career with Caterpillar. On November 6, 1982, he married the love of his life, Carol Fleishman, and together they built a life deeply rooted in the Morris community he cherished.

Robin found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted Cubs fan, an enthusiastic golfer at the Morris Country Club, and an avid fast-pitch softball player who competed in leagues for more than twenty years. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who filled him with pride and happiness. Known for his stubborn streak, quick wit, and clever one-liners, Robin was a steady, warm presence in the lives of those around him. He will be remembered as an outstanding friend, a loving husband who wore his heart on his sleeve, an adoring father, and a doting grandpapa.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Fleishman Enger; his children, Taylor (Darrell) DeShazer, Cameron (Nicole) Enger, Andrea Enger, and Kendall (Amanda) Enger; and his cherished grandchildren, Natalie Enger and Jayden DeShazer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry.
