Robin Clapper ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wright's Funeral Parlor - Kerrville on Mar. 16, 2026.Robin Dean Clapper, 64, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, in a San Antonio hospital.He was born December 04, 1961, in Saint Frances, Kansas, to Stanley Dwayne Clapper Sr., and Barbara Browning McComas.He was a graduate of Tivy High School and San Jacinto State College in Houston.Retired after 37 years as a barge engineer for the Rowan Co. He traveled to many countries during his time in the oilfield, working on jack-up oil rigs. He saw a lot of amazing things, especially the Egyptian pyramids, which he said were just a bunch of rocks.Robin was an avid hunter and fisherman and took pride in raising his fallow deer.He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Clapper; his children, Ryan Clapper Rodgers and his husband Clay Rodgers, Robyn Rios and husband Jacob, and Joseph Chappins; his mother, Barbara McComas; his brother, Stanley Clapper and wife, Cindy; his sister, Jennie Connell and his husband Larry; his grandchildren; Alijah and Iann Chappins and Ronin Martinez.
