In 1980, he immigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities and the chance to build a new life. Through perseverance and determination, he established roots in Connecticut and spent many years working and providing for his family.Roberto enjoyed watching soccer and admired players like Lionel Messi.He is survived by his wife, Leonor (Serrano) Machado, and his three sons: Jorge Alberto Machado and his wife Tatiana; Carlos Augusto Machado and his wife Karen; and Luis Fernando Machado and his wife Brenda. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kevin, Nicolas, Diego, Genesis, and Brianna.A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley Street, New Britain, Connecticut. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the graveside to honor and remember Roberto's life.His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
