Roberta Schneider ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson - Larson Funeral Home, Minot on Mar. 12, 2026.Roberta "Robin" Schneider, 70, of Minot, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.Robin was born on May 14th, 1955, in Rhame, North Dakota, to Harold and Norma (Maas) Schneider. Robin attended school at Redfield Developmental Center in Redfield, South Dakota. She later moved to Minot, North Dakota, where she received support and services by Kalix, formally known as Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop. Over the years, Minot became her home, and she became a beloved part of the community.As the oldest of six siblings, Robin proudly embraced her role as the big sister and never hesitated to show who was boss, carrying that spirited nature with her throughout her life. She had a personality all her own and made that lasting impression on the people around her. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Second Story Social Club. Robin enjoyed needlework and embroidery, had a deep love of music and found joy in singing karaoke, especially her favorite song, "Fishin' in the Dark." She also loved coffee, going out to eat at her favorite place, Schatz Truck stop, taking road trips to Bismarck, and visiting family during the holidays.Robin had a special love for the holidays, especially Christmas. She was someone who never forgot a person's birthday, and she loved singing Christmas carols each holiday season. These simple joys meant so much to her and some of the many things her family and friends will always remember with a smile. She inspired many family members, friends, and caregivers over the years and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family is especially grateful to all who cared for Robin throughout her life and showed her kindness, support and friendship over the years.Robin is survived by her brother, James Schneider of Northwood, North Dakota; sisters, Toni Schneider of Bismarck, North Dakota and Tina (Jack) Eagon of Rhame, North Dakota; nephews, Father Nick Schneider of Mandan, North Dakota and Douglas Eagon of Fargo, North Dakota; niece, April Eagon of Dickinson, North Dakota; great-nephew, Nathan Eagon of Bismarck; great-niece Sloane Eagon of Bismarck, North Dakota; and numerous friends and caregivers of Kalix.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Norma Schneider; brothers, Richard Schneider and Donald Schneider; paternal grandparents, Frank Sr. and Pauline Schneider; maternal grandparents, Frank and Nathalia Maas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.There will be no viewing, as cremation has taken place.Celebration of Life: Wednesday, March 18th, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home.The service will be livestreamed for the public to view and can be accessed by going to Thompson-Larson Funeral Home's YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/live/aeCmL9kAYs8?feature=shareThe family kindly ask those who plan on attending to wear something red in memory of Robin.In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Kalix.A private committal service in Rhame, North Dakota will take place at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
