Roberta Richardson Woodruff

Mrs. Linnie Roberta Richardson Woodruff, age 84, of Lowgap, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Born on November 1, 1941, in Surry County to the late Curnel Posey Richardson and Thelma Clyde Smith Richardson, she was a longtime member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church.

Known to her family as Mema, Linnie cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She found joy in reading and in camping trips with her husband and the grandchildren. She is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose quiet love anchored her family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Eric Puckett; grandchildren, Mitchell Woodruff and Brittany Lapcevich, Zach and Amiee Shelton, and Taylor Shelton; great-grandchildren, Xander Woodruff, Lydia Woodruff, and Juliette Shelton; and her brother and sister-in-law, Ike and Pam Richardson, along with other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Woodruff, and her son, Mickey Lee Woodruff.
