Robert "Bob" William Howard, 79, of Louisville, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Norton Women and Children's Hospital.
A proud alumnus of Flaget High School, class of 1965, Bob served his country as an Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and retired from GE after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Bob lived a full and vibrant life, delighting in sharing stories of his adventures. He found great joy in fishing, camping, golfing, and above all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was known for hosting memorable parties, particularly on the Fourth of July, where he faithfully served as the "Fireworks Director" for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Carolyn Howard; brothers, John and Joseph Howard; and sister, Sandra Howard.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Gottbrath Howard; daughter, Jennifer Huff (Brian); son, Joshua Howard (Kendall); grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, and Lucas Huff; sisters, Marilyn McKeand and Teresa Similey; brother, Michael Howard (Mary); and his beloved dog, Laney.
