Robert Wayne Deese

1959 — 2026

Anniston, AL

Robert Wayne Deese, affectionately known as Bobby Wayne, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on December 11, 1959, to parents Robert and Joyce Deese, he grew up as a big brother to Tim and Tabatha. He later became the devoted husband of Cindy and the loving father of Michelle and Joshua. Above all, he cherished his role as Paw-Paw, or PoPo, to his grandchildren Archer, Jase, and Jasper.

A dedicated provider, Wayne retired from Honda Manufacturing after years of hard work. In his retirement, he tended his beloved “Redneck Container Garden at the Bynum B & B,” enjoyed armchair coaching of Alabama softball and football, and pursued his many creative talents. Skilled with his hands, he could build, paint, or draw almost anything. An avid fisherman in his younger years, he also held a deep love for music, good food, fast cars, and lively political discussions. His sharp sense of humor, masterful storytelling, and legendary comedic timing brought joy to everyone around him, while his heart and integrity defined him as a man of true greatness.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Deese Bain and her husband Craig, his son Joshua Deese, his grandchildren Archer Bain, Jase Deese, and Jasper Deese, his brother Tim Deese, and his sister Tabatha Deese. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Robert T. and Joyce Deese, his grandparents Dart and Vida Deese and Adell Barksdale, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
