Robert Wayne Boyd

Robert Wayne Boyd

December 27, 1951 March 8, 2026

Colville, WA

Robert Wayne Boyd, age 74, of Colville, Washington, passed away on March 8, 2026 in Spokane. Born on December 27, 1951 in San Jose, California, Robert was deeply devoted to his family. He cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, caring for them with unwavering attention and showing fierce loyalty to both family and friends. He took special joy in attending his granddaughter Jackie’s wedding, making the day even more memorable for her.

Robert was known as a straight shooter who spoke his mind without hesitation. His playful, colorful banter with his wife Wanda often left outsiders surprised, yet their deep devotion to one another was unmistakable. Together they raised four children, creating lasting memories through camping, hunting, and fishing trips. Wanda managed the family finances with a firm hand, giving Robert his monthly allowance and ensuring he spent it wisely—an arrangement that provided endless amusement to those around them.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Robert particularly enjoyed pursuing elk and moose, and he loved fishing at Starvation Lake. He and Wanda would alternate lakes, though he good-naturedly grumbled that the fishing was always better at Starvation. Even after Wanda’s passing, Robert remained close to his family, often driving through Colville in search of his son Casey or dropping in unexpectedly to share meals and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Ellen Boyd, his wife Wanda, and his sister Judy. Robert is survived by his children, Jenny (James) Warren of Oregon, Casey (Laurie) Boyd of Colville, Corey Boyd of Chewelah, and Curtis Boyd of Colville; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and his sisters Susan and Debbie.
