Robert Thomas Manley

September 10, 1941 March 15, 2026

Nashville, TN

Robert Thomas Manley, age 84, of White Bluff, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born on September 10, 1941, in Tennessee City, Tennessee, to the late Arthur and Edith Manley, he lived a life marked by deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Robert is survived by his five daughters, Theresa Furr of White Bluff, Tennessee, Kathy Maddox of Smithburg, Maryland, Karen Lone of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Lora Ferguson of Terry, Mississippi, and Melisa Stephens of Nashville, Tennessee; his siblings Norma Luther, Judy Daniels, Raymond Manley, Betty Bates, Roger Manley, and Donna Phillips; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his beloved puppies, Romeo and Baxter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Manley; his parents; his brothers Wayne, Charles, and Jimmy Manley; and his grandsons Brandon Maddox and Michael Lone.

A man of strong faith, Robert was an active member of Church Alive in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and attended Goodlettsville Pentecostal Church. He cherished his pastor, Bro. Kevin Page, who stood with him through the highest and lowest points of his health struggles. Robert was known for his fierce independence, tireless work ethic, generosity, and steadfast love as a husband and father. He found joy in fishing, storytelling, tending his yard, playing Texas Hold’em on his Grandpad, and savoring CookOut milkshakes. Those closest to him will remember his wonderful gumbo, his sense of humor, the birthday calls he serenaded them with, and the way he gathered everyone to reminisce and share fish tales.

His family will forever miss his presence, his calls to check in, and the simple comfort of knowing he was there. As children, they would rush to the door shouting with joy when he arrived home. In his final days, as he received his ultimate healing, they whispered those same words through tears: our daddy is home. Heaven now holds a precious piece of their hearts.
