Robert Shane Ryder

Robert Shane Ryder, 38, of St. Albans, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born on December 8, 1987, in Charleston, he was the son of Daniel Ryder and the late Melissa Casto Bays.

Robert is survived by his father, Daniel Ryder and wife Treasa of St. Albans; his children, Elsie Ryder and her partner Jesse Chandler of Hurricane, Shayna Ryder of Nitro, and Jacklyn Ryder of Nitro; his sisters, Charity Ryder of St. Albans, Savanna Tolley and her husband Tyler of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Katelynn Ryder of St. Albans; and his brothers, Christopher Ryder of Dunbar and Austin Ryder of St. Albans. He was preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Bays, and his uncle, Earl Ryder.

He will be remembered by his family as a devoted father and a cherished son, brother, and uncle whose presence brought warmth and connection to those who knew him best.
