Robert "Bob" Ross Alonzo

August 23, 1958 March 6, 2026

Alamosa, CO

Robert "Bob" Ross Alonzo, 68, of Alamosa, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 23, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, to Frank and Mabel Alonzo, Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

On October 20, 1973, he married the love of his life, Antoinette "Toni" Alonzo, in Alamosa. Together they raised three children: Adrian, Jeremy, and Sara. Bob worked as a convenience store manager and later at Public Service Company of Colorado before retiring due to health concerns. A man of deep faith, he became an ordained minister and allowed his beliefs to guide his life. He found joy in playing the guitar, fishing, working on cars and his motorcycle, and cheering for his beloved Denver Broncos. His love of music and the talent he shared will live on through his family.

Bob spent many happy years babysitting his grandsons, always preparing special projects for them to build together, including a clubhouse, football goal post, bird house, and frog pond. He instilled in them an appreciation for older music and, above all, cherished every moment spent surrounded by those he loved.

He is survived by his wife Toni Alonzo of Alamosa; his children Adrian (Gail) Alonzo of Wausa, Nebraska, Jeremy (Jennifer) Alonzo of Alamosa, and Sara (Dan) Maier of Denver; grandchildren Peyton (Devan Key) Swanson, Gabby Swanson, Anika Alonzo, Caden (Desiray) Alonzo, Ryker and Raelee Alonzo, and Luke Maier; great-grandchildren Cruz, Tatum, Creed, and Cian; his sister Nancy (Joe) Maestas; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law Barbara Salazar, and his brother-in-law and good friend Robert "Bob" Lee.
