Bob was born in Dayton on January 27, 1954, to the late Paul and Mollie Barger. Later he lived in Chattanooga before returning to the family farm in 1992. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a skilled artist, computer guru and Star Trek fan. Robert was born in Dayton and lived in Chattanooga until moving back to the family farm in 1992. He was employed with Bryan College in the I.T. department for 13 years, prior he was employed with Olan Mills for 31 years.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robin Cuzzort.He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa Barger; children: Molly Barger, Michelle Barger (Alex) Kiddie, Mattie Thompson (Steven) and Matthew Barger; grandchildren: Eloise and Lucas Thompson; siblings: Roy and wife Linda Barger, Donna Cuzzort; a niece, many nephews and many great-nieces and cousins.Services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 3:00 pm, in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Visitation will be 1:00-3:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
