Robert P. Cordella

Robert P. Cordella, 71, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on September 25, 1954, in Worcester, Robert was the youngest son of the late Frederick and Louise (Zolla) Cordella. An avid baseball player, fisherman, hunter, gunsmith, and mechanic, he was a highly intelligent and talented man who filled his years with excitement and love. He played baseball against the New York Yankees during college and hunted in South Africa as a young man. Though he accomplished much, Robert always maintained that his greatest achievement was his family, whom he cherished above all else.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia (Polissack) Cordella; his loving children, Michael and his girlfriend Kelly Blodgett, Daniel and his partner Jill, and Bonnie Louise; his adored grandchildren, Lana and Evelyn; his cherished siblings, David and his wife Mary Jane, and Frederick; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew, David.
