July 13, 1931— March 12, 2026
Cincinnati, OH
Robert M. Davis was born in Cheswold, Delaware in 1931 to his mother, Cecilia Davis. He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 18 and, one year later, married his first wife, Marjorie Davis, while still serving. Their marriage lasted 47 years until Marjorie’s passing. Together they had one son, Scott Davis, who later moved to Arizona for college, remained single, and passed away in 2021.
On July 4, 1999, Robert married Bonnie. She brought four children into their family—Michelle, Tony, Missy, and April—and at the time of their marriage, seven grandchildren: Rachael, Ashley, Samantha, Amanda, Victoria, Gillian, and Josie. In the years that followed, five more grandchildren joined the family: Rebekah, Aubrey, Jeremiah, James, and Logan, along with eight great-grandchildren: Brayden, Hunter, Vivian, Samuel, Eleanor, Amelia, Elliott, and Kingston.
Bob was an active and accomplished man who loved cycling, competing in road time trials, and riding bike trails with Bonnie in the park. A licensed ham radio operator, he maintained a tall antenna in the backyard and communicated with friends across many countries. He also devoted countless hours to mastering several musical instruments and performed with community orchestras and bands. Sailing brought him special joy; he kept a beautiful sailboat docked on Brookville Lake, where he and Bonnie spent many peaceful weekends.
A loving and faithful husband, Bob served four years in the United States Air Force and later retired from the Air National Guard Reserve after 22 years. He worked as a Clinical Engineer Technician at University Hospital. He is remembered with deep affection by Bonnie and the large, loving family he cherished.
