Robert Michael Pegg

We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2026, at the age of 79, Robert Michael Pegg of Hickory, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Harry Pegg and Virginia Passmore Pegg; and his wife Annelle Barefoot Pegg. He is survived by: his sons, Joshua Pegg (Carolynn), Jacob Pegg (Renee) and Zachary Pegg (Sara Beth); his brother Tom Pegg; his siblings-in-law, Rowdy Barefoot (Pam) and Alice Barefoot; and his grandchildren, Ella, Maylee, Brooklynn, Gretchen, Sawyer, Silas, Daisye, June, Nora and Annie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lakeview Baptist Church (4080 N Center St, Hickory, NC 28601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (3120 Falling Creek Rd, Hickory, NC 28601).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Annelle Pegg Sunday School Class at Lakeview Baptist Church, 4080 North Center Street, Hickory, North Carolina 28601, for their support of the Annelle Pegg scholarship fund.
