Robert Pate ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home on Mar. 12, 2026.Robert Louis Pate of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his residence at the age of 89 years. A native of Normandy, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Issac Franklin and Irene Bennett Pate. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Robbie Faye Williamson and several siblings. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Burial with full military honors will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Visitation for friends will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.Robert served in the United States Army for 21 years. He was a 1st. Sargent E8 and was a Vietnam and Korean war veteran. Robert was also awarded the Purple Heart, and we are all indebted to him for his brave and faithful service. Robert served as a police officer for the city of Tullahoma for approximately 5 years. He then went on to serve at AEDC as a Security Officer for approximately 6 years. When he was able, he enjoyed fishing and he also loved to cook. He was a good cook and we all enjoyed sharing with him the food he had prepared. He loved his family and spending time with them, but most of all he was an awesome Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with them.His survivors include his wife of 69 years, Barbara Pate of Tullahoma, Tennessee, children, Franklin Louis (Cheryl) Pate of Pelham, Tennessee, Robert Byron (Melecia) Pate of Smithfield, Virginia, Hope Denise (Jeff) Kimble of Tullahoma, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.Online condolences may be made at www.davesculbertsonfuneral home.com Daves-Culbertson funeral home is honored to assist the family of Robert Pate.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
