December 27, 1947— March 6, 2026
Carrollton, MO
Robert Lewis Harmon was born on December 27, 1947, in Carrollton, Missouri, and passed away on March 6, 2026. He spent his early years drag racing the streets of Carrollton before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served his country during the Vietnam War. Trained as an airplane mechanic, he was stationed in Key West, Florida, and later transferred to Lakehurst Naval Base in New Jersey. It was there that he met the love of his life, Judith, with whom he is now reunited in Heaven.
Bob was known for his remarkable mechanical ability; there was no machine he could not fix. Yet nothing brought him greater pride than his family. He is survived by his children, Robert Harmon (Jennifer), Kelly Adair (Chris), and Mark Harmon (Rachael); his grandchildren, Morgan Manier, Anthony Harmon (Malery), December Harmon, Trinity Kirk (Tristen), Abigail Knoshaug (Benjamin), and Lacyana Adair; and his great-grandchildren, Claire, Axel, Olivia, Oaklyn, Beckham, Ada, and soon-to-be Marlow and Brooks. He is also survived by his siblings, Jim (Lois) Harmon, Bill (Donna) Harman, Patty Appleberry, Tom (Nancy) Harman, Mary Robinson, Rita (Jim) Appleberry, John Harman, Jo Thornsberry, Jerry Harman, Mick (Rita) Harman, and Pete (Carol) Harman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruby Harman, and by his siblings, Larry Harman, Bud Harman, and Loretta Basse.
Bob loved his family deeply, took great satisfaction in his work, and never stopped fighting. He is remembered as a man who lived life on his own terms, now smiling down from Heaven. As he wished, his obituary can be summed up simply: Bob died. Truck for sale.
