Robert Lee Taylor

1975 — 2026

Broadway, VA

Robert Lee Taylor, 50, of Broadway, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg. Born on July 11, 1975, in Harrisonburg to the late Harold F. Taylor, Jr. and Mary Lee Halterman, Robert lived a life marked by quiet competence and a deep love for the outdoors.

A longtime wastewater operator for Georges in Harrisonburg, Robert was known as a jack of all trades who could repair any vehicle placed before him. He approached life at one speed—fast—and found joy in hunting and fishing. Those who knew him remember his fierce protective nature, his playful sense of humor, and his talent for pranking friends and family. Above all, he was a devoted father and grandfather. He took pride in teaching his daughter, Angela, cherished the time spent with his grandson, Leo, and delighted in lifting the boy into his arms during family visits.

Robert is survived by his longtime companion, Heather Ralls; his daughter, Angela Taylor; his grandson, Leo Fauls; his brother, Harold F. Taylor III; his sisters, Kelly Taylor and Amelia Martinez; nieces Frances, Tiffanie, Brittanie, Bianca, Anna, Haley, Vanessa, and Jennifer; nephews Brian, Steven, and Brady; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; his aunt, Linda; and uncles Moses Halterman, Rick Dyson, and Benny. At his request, his body was cremated and no formal services were held.
