Robert L. "Kapp" Kappler

Robert L. “Kapp” Kappler, 78, of Unadilla, passed away at his home on the morning of March 14, 2026. Born on December 15, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to William E. and Ellen H. (Aitken) Kappler, he married Debra A. Ingraham on October 20, 1977, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Kapp spent his working years at Amphenol Corp. in Sidney before retiring. He was an avid woodworker who took great pride in his craft, enjoyed his collection of guns, and earlier in life worked as a wedding photographer. He also held a second-degree black belt. Above all, he cherished time with his family and his beloved companion, Teddy.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; his daughter, Malissa Kappler of Florida; his niece, Lori (Tim) Shepardson of Hollywood, Florida; his brother-in-law, Tim Williams of Florida; and his faithful dog, Teddy.

The family will hold private services at their convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a local SPCA.
