Portland, TX

Robert M. “Bob” Kruslyak, 71, was called to his heavenly home peacefully in his sleep on February 23, 2026 in Portland, Texas. Bob was born on June 9, 1954 in Galveston, Texas.

Bob graduated from Grapevine High School, Grapevine, Texas, in 1972. He then joined the United States Army. He served honorably as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Specialist in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield. He was a true patriot who loved the Lord and his country.

Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved deeply and was loved in return for his kind heart and his warm, unforgettable hugs. Bob’s most fulfilling and joyful moments were spending me with his step family who he loved as his own.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Connie Kruslyak.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Jane Kruslyak of North Richland Hills, Texas; his sisters, Vicki Phillips and Linda (Phil) Clark, also of North Richland Hills; one niece, Michele (Brad) Gibson; and four nephews, Joseph (Jeri) Liedl III, Michael (Stacie) Whitfield, David (Monica) Clark, and Stephen Clark; along with a host of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by the family of his heart, including his stepson, Marc; his step grandchildren, Brittany (Steven) Martinez, and their children, McKenna, Shiloh, and River; as well as Kaitlin (Todd) Richards and their children, Autumn and Zoe; along with numerous other cherished family members and friends.

We all carry on with peace, knowing we will be reunited in the Lord’s will and me.
