Robert Julius Gumtow, age 73, of New Boston, Michigan, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Corewell Hospital in Trenton. Born on April 26, 1952, in Romulus, Michigan, he was the son of Julius and Helen (Alter) Gumtow.
Robert was a proud member of the Huron Sportsman’s Association and found great joy in the outdoors, particularly through hunting and fishing. A devoted fan of University of Michigan athletics and the Detroit Tigers, he also cherished the game of golf and looked forward to every opportunity to be on the course.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Ann Gumtow, and by his parents. Robert is survived by his son, Eric Gumtow; his daughter, Tammy (John) Williams; and his grandson, Joseph Gumtow.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Huron Sportsman’s Club, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor both Robert and Sandra.
