August 2, 1946— March 12, 2026
Ocoee, FL
Robert Joseph Stankowski, known affectionately as “Wazoo,” passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Ocoee, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on August 2, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, to Robert Stankowski and Catherine Sheridan, Bob lived a life marked by humor, grit, an endless curiosity, and a deep commitment to those he loved.
A skilled electrician for most of his life, Bob worked on job sites while also teaching apprentices in the classroom, generously sharing both his technical expertise and his passion for the craft. What mattered most to him, however, was family. He found lasting joy in woodworking, reading, spending time at the shooting range, and simply being with his loved ones, including his beloved cat, Oliver. Though he possessed a wild and free spirit in his younger years, Bob found his true home when he met Evelyn. Their forty-two years together were filled with devotion and resilience, and from that love came their daughter Jennifer, who was the center of his world. Behind his tough exterior beat a heart that held the roles of husband and father with quiet pride.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Stankowski; his daughter, Jennifer Parsons; his grandson, Carter Parsons; his sister, Elaine Tunsel; and his nephew, Ryan Tunsel, along with extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Stankowski, and his sisters Veronica and Annie Stankowski.
His wisdom, humor, and steadfast love remain with all who knew him, living on in the family he cherished so deeply.
