Robert John Parker, born on February 29, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Samuel and Frances Parker (née Hussmann), passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 66.
A devoted husband to his wife Fay, Robert was a loving father to his sons Robert (Crystal) and Thomas, and daughters Samantha and Kimberly. He cherished his role as “Pop” to his grandchildren Bobby, Mason, Blaize, Alexis, and Brielle, who filled his life with pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters Peggy Foley (the late Jerry) and Ellen Parker-O’Donnell (John), his sisters-in-law Theresa DiStefano (Greg), Lori Hyjurick (George), and Karen Whittaker (Vernon), and many beloved nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Bob or Bobby. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy J. Parker and his brother-in-law Robert Startzel.
Robert proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from April 29, 1977, to July 11, 1980, attaining the rank of Private First Class. He worked as a skilled floor mechanic with Parker's Precision Floors Incorporated and was an active member of the Mauch Chunk Gun Club. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he especially loved riding cross-country with Fay, creating a lifetime of adventurous memories together.
Robert will be remembered as a man of unwavering spirit, deep commitment to family, and quiet strength, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him.
