Robert John Bidgood

Robert John Bidgood, born December 31, 1948 in Joliet, Illinois to John and Rose Bidgood, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.

Robert spent 48 years working as an long haul truck driver, a career that reflected his dedication, independence, and strong work ethic. Life on the road was a large part of who he was, and he took pride in the many miles he traveled throughout his long career.

In 1995, Robert married the love of his life, Donna, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared many years together until her passing in 2025.

Robert is survived by his stepson, Michael (Jennifer) Petty; stepdaughter, Adriane Cromer (Piero Mercanti); grandchildren, Mathew, Julian, Micaela, and Abigail; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Bidgood; his beloved wife, Donna; and his daughter, Lisa Marie.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri, with military honors.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.
