Robert James “Jimmy” Nail, Jr., of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 54.
Born on January 7, 1972, in Mustang to Robert James Nail and Sammie Kaye (Dill) Nail, Jimmy grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep love for the outdoors. On January 30, 1995, he married Tara McMicken in Oklahoma City, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and cherished memories. Jimmy worked as a Quality Specialist with Metal Container Corporation, where his dedication and reliability were well known.
He found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping, and he enjoyed occasional visits to the casino. An avid sports fan, he proudly cheered for the Oklahoma Sooners, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Above all, Jimmy adored his family. He treasured every moment with them and took special pride in his grandchildren. His kindness, humor, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tara Nail; his daughter, Nichole Smith, and her husband Kyle; his son, Dylan Nail; his granddaughters, Evelyn Smith and Lillian Smith; and his brother, Marvin Nail, and wife Lori. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sammie Nail.
