Robert J. Johnsen

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert J. Johnsen of Beatrice, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnsen and Grace Johnsen (Wallman); his sister Marlene Duitsman; his parents-in-law, Gerhard and Helen Doehler; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Doehler and Laurel Doehler.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Johnsen of Beatrice; his sons, Thomas Johnsen (Molly) of Hastings and Dr. Russell Johnsen (Lisa) of West Linn, OR; his grandchildren, Arwen and Tarek Johnsen of West Linn, OR; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Duitsman of Pickrell and David Doehler (Caryn) of Northville. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A prayer will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (1918 Garfield St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Legion Riders and Southwood Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
