Robert J. Getty

Robert J. Getty, 60, of Hebron, passed away on February 28, 2026, at his home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, surrounded by his family.

Born on October 10, 1965, in Glens Falls, New York, he was the son of Ralph and Jean (Churchill) Getty. A lifelong resident of Hebron, Robert graduated from Washington Academy in Salem in 1984. On August 22, 2015, he married Sheila (Burch) Clarkson, and together they shared 34 years. He operated Field and Stream Farm, the family dairy farm, and was a dedicated 43-year member of the Hebron Fire Company, where he served in many roles.

Robert was deeply devoted to his family and community. He passed on his love of agriculture to his daughter and his passion for hunting to his son. He took great joy in planting and tending a large garden each year alongside his wife.

He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; his children, Cory (Samantha) Clarkson and Julie (Freddie) Wolff; his three adored grandchildren, Sophie, Riley, and Jackson; his brother, David (Susan) Getty; his sister, Margaret Keyes (Elmer); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
