Robert Huggins ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Dery Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.Robert "Bob" Huggins, age 72, of Pittsfield, MA passed away on March 7, 2026 surrounded by his beloved family after a 15-month battle with esophageal cancer.Born on March 15, 1953 in Pittsfield, Bob was a son of the late Frank and Ann Overbaugh Huggins. He was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.Bob worked for many years at Crescent Creamery and Sure Winner Foods as a truck driver. He retired in 2017. He was a longtime member of Rensselaer Elks #2073. Bob enjoyed bowling, going to the casino and spending time with his family. He especially loved long car rides and going to turkey shoots.Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Tina M. Londergan. He also leaves two sons, Shaun Huggins (Kristine) and Nathan Huggins (Aislinn), his grandchildren, Jaden and Colin Perkins and Adeline Huggins, sisters-in-law Terry Dickhaus (David) and Jo-Ann Mossman (Doug), brothers-in-law Bob Bottume, James, Andy and Tim Londergan, nephew Bob Bottume (Brenda) and niece Allison Crespo (Joe), as well as many other nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister June Bottume, his mother and father-in-law James & Adeline Londergan, and Janice Trussel.A special thanks goes out to Dr. Bowen, Dr. Bayliss, Dr. Gabara and Dr. Ram and all the staff of 4 West Oncology and the PCU for their care and compassion during Bob's illness and treatments.SERVICES: Visitation at the Dery Funeral Home will be Thursday March 12, 2026 from 5-7PM. The funeral service will be the following morning at the funeral home beginning at 10AM followed by burial at Pittsfield Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Renssalaer Elks #2073 Scholarship Fund or the Phelps Cancer Center and mailed to the funeral home at 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
