Robert Howell “Bob” Faber passed away on March 5, 2026, at the home he built with his own hands in Hempstead, Texas.
Born on March 24, 1949, in Charlevoix, Michigan, Bob was the son of Earl and Mildred Kirkwood Faber. A 1967 graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, Michigan, he competed in track and performed in the band during his school years. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and later received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1987, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Chi.
Bob met his wife, Dana, at Parker College in Irving, Texas, and they married in 1985, sharing 41 years together. After leaving his chiropractic practice in Arizona, he devoted the next four decades to teaching music, chemistry, physics, and extended learning. A dedicated choir leader, teacher, and mentor, he lived a life centered on family, faith, and the joy of guiding others.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Faber of Hempstead, Texas; daughters Sasha McPherson of Magnolia, Texas, Victoria Bell of Bellville, Texas, and Rebecca Broussard (Jared) of Houston, Texas; sons Robert Faber II (Melinda) of Tustin, California, James Faber of Houston, Texas, and Jacob Faber (Isabelle) of Houston, Texas; brothers Kirk, Terry, and William Faber of Michigan; and thirteen grandchildren, Elizabeth Faber, Sophia Faber, Evelyn Faber, Alexander Fowler, Andrew McCorkle, Michael McCorkle, Robert Bell, Zachary Bell, Jessica Broussard, Eleanor Broussard, Brantley Broussard, Wyatt Faber, and Jasper Faber. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Jessica Alise Faber; son Sean Michael Faber; and granddaughter Reagan Hope Broussard.
