Robert Harold Grieve, known to all as Bob, was born on December 29, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away in his hometown on March 10, 2026, at the age of 74.
An enthusiastic cyclist, Bob found joy and freedom on two wheels, regularly exploring local trails with friends and taking extended cross-country bike trips through peaceful landscapes. He also loved the game of golf, cherishing both the challenge and the camaraderie it brought. His deep connection to the outdoors led him to embrace skiing as an active member of the Thunderbird Ski Club and to practice discipline and strength through his involvement with the Downriver Y Judo Club. Those closest to him affectionately called him their “Social Butterfly,” a reflection of his warm and engaging presence.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Grieve, and his significant other, Jackie Fancher. He is survived by his children, Teri Grieve, Tracy (John) Kelley, and Shelly Grieve, and six beloved grandchildren: Robin, Drea, Dailyn, Hunter, Grayson, and Nora.
His legacy is one of warmth, adventure, and a life fully embraced. Bob’s vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
