Robert H. Melanson

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert H. Melanson of Billerica, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 7, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Robert has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Melanson and Marie Melanson (Richard); his brother Norman Melanson (late Jean); and his godson Andrew Melanson. He is survived by: his wife Madeline Melanson of Billerica; his daughter Jill Melanson of Quincy; his brother Frank Melanson of San Francisco, CA; and his niece Robin Melanson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Dorothy's Church (11 Harnden St, Wilmington, MA 01887).
