Robert H. Daily

Robert H. Daily, age 88, of Lake Forest, Illinois, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on June 12, 1937 in Chicago and raised in Skokie, Bob was known for his humor, intelligence, and his remarkable ability to connect with others.

He graduated from St. George High School in 1955 and from the University of Notre Dame in 1959 with a degree in Business Administration. After a brief period at Ford Motor Company, he built a long career as a Manufacturer’s Representative in the electrical industry. He eventually founded R.H. Daily Lighting, later known as Chicago Lighting Services, which he successfully sold in 1998. Bob served as President of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association from 1998 to 1999. He was honored with the Electric Golf Club Man of the Year Award in 1998 and the Saint George High School Alumni Association Man of the Year Award in 2005.

Deeply committed to education, Bob played a key role in establishing Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep High School in Waukegan, Illinois, in 2004. Through its Work Study Program, the school has continued to support more than four hundred underprivileged students, many of whom have gone on to earn four-year college degrees.

Bob is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Patricia (Lennon) Daily, whom he married in 1960; his sons, Robert (Jeff) and Timothy (Teresa); and his granddaughters, Morgan and Mackenzie.
