Robert H. Canavan

Robert H. Canavan, 37, passed away suddenly on March 13, 2026. Born on January 30, 1989, he lived his life with warmth, humor, and a deep capacity for love. Though his time on earth was far too short, those who knew him will always remember the laughter he brought into every room and the genuine kindness that defined him.

Robert graduated from Kingston High School in 2007 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He devoted his career to caring for others as an emergency room nurse, approaching his work with compassion and a steady commitment to bringing comfort and dignity to those in need. He had a great passion for sports, especially cheering on the Jets on football Sundays with family and friends, and he made time to stay active at the gym. Above all, he cherished being a father. His five children were the center of his world and his greatest pride.

He is survived by his parents, Linda and Robert Canavan; his children, Wesley, Jace, Jade, Charlotte, and Paisley; and the children’s mothers, Jenna Moretti and Alyssa Howard, along with Alyssa’s daughter Savannah Cordeiro. He also leaves behind his siblings, Amy Canavan, Cassandra (Nick) Logan, Kristy Nissen, Melanie (Thomas) Seay, Chloe (Spencer) Lane, and Carly (Dominick) Marino, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Robert was predeceased by his grandparents, his sister Kimberly Canavan, and his brother-in-law Travis Nissen. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his kind heart, and the joy he so freely shared with everyone around him.
