Robert "Rob" Gordon Reed

Robert “Rob” Gordon Reed, 48, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare-Terrace Care Center. Born on June 26, 1977, in La Porte to Richard E. Reed and Rhonda J. (Smith) Reed-Henrichs, Rob grew up surrounded by family in the community he always called home.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kaytlyn Reed of Rolling Prairie and Alexandra Reed of Michigan City; his two grandsons, Maverick and Adam Reed; his brother, Richard “Rick” Reed II of New Carlisle; and his niece, Molly Reed of Fort Collins, Colorado. Rob was preceded in death by his parents.

A skilled carpenter by trade, Rob found joy in riding motorcycles, participating in mud bogs, and sharing good times with his friends. He will be remembered for his easygoing spirit and the pride he took in his family, especially his daughters and grandsons.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Fish Lake American Legion Post 400 in Walkerton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Richard Reed II.
