July 7, 1932— March 7, 2026
Elk Grove, CA
Bob was born in Veteran, Wyoming, to Harold and Lena Snook. He was preceded in death by Betty, his loving wife of 49 years. He is survived by his children, sons Bob (Pam) and Dan (Terri), and daughter Kim Schoonmaker (Nate). Bob was a devoted grandfather to Christopher, Kelly, Kelsey, Lauren, Megan, Jamie, and Michael, and a cherished great-grandfather to Jaice, Hudson, and Lena.
He will be remembered above all for his deep devotion to his family and the profound joy his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him throughout his life.
A dedicated athlete, Bob played catcher for the 1949 American Legion Wyoming State Champion team. His love for baseball endured for decades, as he continued playing and coaching well into his eighties. He also served his country with distinction as a member of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, honorably completing his combat duties on the front lines in Korea in 1952.
