Sullivan Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.Robert "Bob" Giglio, a man remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and lifelong devotion to his family, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. He was 89.Born on May 31, 1936, in Everett, Bob was the son of the late Carmello J. and Rose (De Biase) Giglio. He grew up in the tight-knit communities of Everett and Malden, where he learned the trade of metalworking as a young man, working alongside his father and uncle in the family business.Bob eventually joined Raytheon, where he dedicated many years of service as an offset printer. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and hardworking professional until his retirement in 2001.In 1960, Bob married the love of his life, Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Molinaro. They settled in Burlington, where they raised their family and shared 59 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2020. Bob was the quintessential "nice guy," a devoted husband who put his family above all else.In his retirement, Bob found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a constant presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren, cherishing every meal shared together. An avid fan of the New England Patriots, he rarely missed a game and always held out hope for a lucky break in the daily numbers game.He is survived by his loving children, Paul Giglio of Burlington, and Sheri McLeish and her husband Steven of Norwood. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Anthony, Melanie, David, and Marcella Giglio, and Katherine and Benjamin McLeish. He also leaves behind his brothers, Ralph Giglio and Edward "Eddie" Giglio, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Ann M.Services will be private. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
