Robert George Braun, Sr. passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. Born in Philadelphia to the late Arthur and Dorothy Braun, he lived in Croydon, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Braun began his working life as a drywall installer and later drove trucks for Alpha Systems in Horsham. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and often shared stories from his time in the service. In retirement he remained close to his family, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and cheering for the Phillies and Eagles alongside his children and grandchildren. Above all, he cherished quiet moments with his wife, taking scenic drives and always holding hands.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Constance Marie (nee Knoblauch) Braun; his children, Michele Meyer (Donald), Robert Braun, Jr. (Christine), Jason Braun (Diana Ruggiero), and Chad Braun, Sr. (Shanna Nemeth); and his grandchildren, Jessilyn Meyer, Donny Meyer, Jr., Sheri Meyer, Johnathan Meyer, Joseph Meyer, Robert Braun, Christopher Braun, Kayla Ruggiero, Julianna Braun, Haley Braun, Valentino Ruiz, Chad Braun, Jr., Jayden Braun, Kaydence Soffel, and Jamison Soffel. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Emma, Mason, Penny, Chad III, and Jackson, his sister Dorothy Thomas, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Braun.
Robert leaves a legacy of strength, loyalty, and devoted service to his family and his country.
