He was born February 9, 1937, and grew up in Richmond, Michigan.Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy beginning in 1955, serving for three years. After his time in the service, he spent many years working as a tree trimmer before retiring.Robert had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time gardening, watching birds, and simply being out in nature. In his quieter moments, he also enjoyed relaxing with a beer, playing his harmonica, smoking a little weed, and sharing laughs and stories with those around him. He lived life in his own way and found joy in the simple things.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Irene Thibert; his daughter, Julie; his sisters, Jean and Kathy; and his brother, Tom.Robert is survived by his children, Lisa, Bobby, Tony, Bud, Shaun, Joe, and Misty. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Shaun Jr., Amber, Cody, Jackson, Conner, and Mason, as well as his great-grandson, Bryce.He is also survived by his brother, Don, and his sisters, Chris and Nancy.
