Robert F. “Bobby June” Wyant Jr., 71, of Advance, North Carolina, formerly of Franklin, passed away on March 12, 2026, at UPMC Jameson in New Castle. Born in Franklin on March 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Robert Wyant Sr. and Nancy Lee Wile Wyant.

Bobby June was an accomplished musician whose talent on the guitar and powerful singing voice earned the admiration of everyone who heard him perform. Known for his distinctive vocals and heartfelt delivery, music remained a lifelong passion that he shared generously with others. He proudly recorded an album at Rosewood Studios in New Castle, capturing the spirit and skill that defined his artistry. His love for music and his ability to connect with people through song will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and all who experienced his performances.

He will also be remembered for his quick wit and natural ability to connect with others, often leaving them smiling after a good belly laugh. Bobby is survived by his wife of 15 years, Debby, at their home in Advance, North Carolina; his son, Robert F. “Bugger” Wyant III and wife Jenny Sue; his daughter, Desiree Marghella and husband Tony; his sisters, Pam Swasta and husband Bob, and Valerie Boyer and husband Don; eight grandchildren; a nephew, Camron Pixley; a niece, Valeyne Marie Grotrian; and one special step-granddaughter, Kennedy.
