He was born to Tom Edwards and Queen Griffin on July 7th, 1943, in Ward, South Carolina.Robert was an Army veteran who served his country as a medical specialist, then worked as a machinist by trade. Robert was a man who truly loved nature. An avid fisherman, he was always kind and welcoming to everyone he met. He was the kind of person who cherished his family and was willing to go above and beyond to help those in need.Robert is preceded in death by his partner, Diane Claire Radicioni; his son, Skyler Isaiah Edwards; and his dear friend, Theodis Gilbert. He leaves behind his son, Robert Alonzo Edwards; stepdaughters Patrice Gilbert, Christina Cocchiola, and Katrina Gilbert; his sister, Corine Edwards; and nephews Robert Palmer, William Palmer, and Michael VanNess.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
