Robert Eugene Williamson was born on November 7, 1943, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Emil (Pete) Williamson and Maida Lee Williamson. He passed away at his home on March 9, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Toni Ann Williamson, and his sister, Judy Nisbett of Lawton, Oklahoma. Robert and Toni were married on September 19, 1969, in Lawton. They were blessed with four children: Kimberly Ann Douglas and husband Skip of Broken Arrow, Cynthia Ann Anderson of San Antonio, Texas, Kristy Lynn Rednose of Lawton, and Bobby Williamson of Tulsa. He is also survived by grandchildren David Kropp, Stevie Schoeffler, Crystal Anderson, Chase Anderson, Brittainy Horn and husband Anthony, Tristan Williamson, and Justin Rednose, along with nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Robert Trey Williamson.
A devoted businessman, public servant, and proud member of the Anadarko community, Robert’s life was defined by hard work, leadership, and service to others. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1962, where he served as captain of the basketball team and led them to a state championship. He attended Cameron College, playing basketball before transferring to Southwestern University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Psychology.
Robert began his career as a warehouse sales manager for Oklahoma Drug Sales in Lawton before joining his father at the family business, Lawton Transit Mix. He also purchased a Snappy Sack convenience store and operated a baby shoe bronzing business, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit. Drafted into the United States Army, he completed basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and served as an aide to a four-star general in Germany. After his military service, he returned to Oklahoma and later made his home in Anadarko, a place tied to his family’s history.
Together with Toni, Robert owned and operated numerous successful businesses in Anadarko, including Pizza Villa, Toni’s Italian Restaurant, Sunset Motel, Lil Taco, an ice cream store, Mac’s Auto & Front-End Alignment, Anadarko Starter and Alternator, Century 21 Real Estate & Insurance, Property Development Company, W&W Roofing, rental homes, and Williamson Mini Storage. Through their Property Development Company, they developed Williamson’s Replat Wester’s Addition, and they also achieved the level of Emerald in the Amway business. Robert served two terms as Mayor of Anadarko, where he helped secure funding for a new hospital, and later served two terms as City Manager. In 2005, he was honored as Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year. His dedication to his community, his leadership, and his entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting impact on Anadarko and all who knew him.
