Robert Earl Phillips Sr., age 84, of Boonville, passed away on March 14, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
Born on January 12, 1942 in Evansville to the late Cecil Phillips and Dorothy (Curran) Phillips, Robert graduated from Reitz High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for 40 years at Alcoa as a Cold Mill Operator and was a longtime member of the company’s 25 Year Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Deborah Phillips, in 1981.
Robert is survived by his wife, Maggie (Arnold) Phillips, whom he married on January 10, 1973; daughters Susan Smith (Eric) and Beth Phillips; son Robert Phillips Jr. (Sunday); grandchildren Andrew Smith, Allison Lehr, Nicholas Smith, Hannah Johndro, Hailey Phillips, and Angele Phillips; and great-grandchildren Julian, Arthur, Evelyn, and Mari.
