Robert Earl Murry

Robert Earl Murry was born on March 14, 1962, in Abbeville, Henry County, Alabama, to Tommie Lee Murry and Mary Corbitt Murry. He was educated in the Henry County School System and graduated from Abbeville High School in 1980. A lifelong member of New Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church, Robert worked for many years with Golden Peanut Company in Headland, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, his maternal and paternal grandparents, one nephew, and three great-nephews.

Robert is remembered with love by his daughter, Change Whitehurst; his mother, Mary C. Murry; his granddaughter, Chakayla Godley; two brothers, Arthur Corbitt and Florence Henry Murry; four sisters, Anne Murry, Mary R. Murry, Chris Grimsley of Alabama, and Bernice Murry; one aunt, Willie Ruth Corbitt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also shared a special friendship with Priscilla of Headland, Alabama.
