Bob passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 82.
He lived a full life rooted in community and service, leaving behind many who valued his steady presence and quiet dedication. Bob remained deeply connected to the places and organizations that mattered to him, including the Lost Island Protective Association and American Legion Post #33 in Ruthven, Iowa.
He will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched through his integrity, friendship, and commitment to the people and land he cared for. A private burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ruthven, Iowa, at a later date.
