Dade City, FL
Robert Angelo DiPersio, lovingly known as “Uncle Bob,” passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Dade City, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on October 8, 1946, in Hudson, Massachusetts, to Angelo and Viola (Marini) DiPersio, Bob lived a life centered on family, friendship, and the simple joys that mattered most to him.
A 1965 graduate of Hudson High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy shortly after. Following his military service, he married the love of his life, Paulette Buxton DiPersio. Together they shared 37 years of marriage filled with warmth and devotion. Bob was a proud father to his son Peter DiPersio and a devoted grandfather to his grandson Trace DiPersio. He carried the memory of his beloved son Chris DiPersio, who predeceased him, with him always.
Bob shared a close bond with his siblings, surviving sisters Angela Jackson and Karen Henderson, and was predeceased by his brother Thomas DiPersio. His nieces Amy Phillips and Heather Chagnon held a special place in his heart. From an early age, Bob was an avid golfer who spent many weekends on the course at Stow Acres in Massachusetts with his father, later playing regularly with his son Chris. After retiring to Florida, he continued the tradition as part of a weekend golf group at the Highlands. He also competed in Bass Pro fishing tournaments before moving south, and he was a gifted cook who lovingly prepared family recipes passed down from his mother and grandmother, often sharing meals with neighbors and friends.
Known for his caring, fun-loving, and compassionate nature, Bob touched the lives of everyone around him with his infectious laugh, ready advice, and willingness to lend a hand. He will be remembered with deep affection by Paulette, Peter, Trace, Angela, Karen, Amy, Heather, his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and all those whose lives he enriched.
